Settling For Mediocrity
The reason why I think people are afraid of failure is because they don't want to be embarrassed, or might be afraid that someone will disappointed in them. Some people are also lazy and just don't want to try new things, and challenge their selves to what they really know. I know that I have experienced this a few times before such as the time when I was given the opportunity to go on a trip to the spirit of Philadelphia, but I chose not to go on the trip. I think if I went on the trip I would of had more fun and experienced new things, maybe even meet new people. Another time I was given the choice to join build-on, but I did not. I think if I went on the trek I might have learned a new language or experienced more new things around the world. I think the way that people can overcome the fear of failure is maybe go back on the exact day that you were given the opportunity to do what you were given, I think people would have done that. Some people would also like to have someone to motivate them and support them for when they needed it the most. Some people even take the failure and use it as there as advantage to motivate them for what they do now.
